Quantum Datacenter Research
In 3.0.5, two Engineering technologies improve the Quantum Datacenter. Research each directly from level 0 with your current galaxy's RP: neither requires a lab, another technology or a completed Datacenter to invest. Research does not build a Datacenter or supply its fuel.
Quantum Computing
- Level 1: +10% Credit income during future fueled Datacenter operation.
- Level 1 base price: 75 RP.
Quantum Datacenter Optimization
- Level 1: −2% material and Credit cost on new Datacenter construction quotes.
- Level 1 base price: 75 RP.
Progression and costs
Each has a configured cap of level 100. At levels 5, 10 and every fifth completed level, another copy of its level-one bonus is added before compounding that bonus by 1% per later level. The cost reduction caps at 90%. Each technology's base RP price grows by a factor of 1.2 for each target level after level 1, rounded up to whole RP; completed research tiers in other domains add a further surcharge, rounded up again. The Research screen shows the authoritative next quote. Partial investment grants no bonus.
Quantum Computing multiplies Credit output only; it does not increase Fuel Cell or Deuterium consumption or the empire-wide Credit income. Optimization reduces applicable building materials first and lowers the resulting construction Credit charge; it does not refund past construction or reprice already earned Credits. Prices and outputs already earned before a research change keep their earlier rates, including when a queued completion is processed late.
Buy Computing when the station can reliably remain fueled, and Optimization before several expensive Datacenter levels. If either input is absent, income stops regardless of your Computing level.
