Phalanx Technology

Phalanx Technology improves Sensor Phalanx range and is required at level 1 to build the facility. You may research it directly from level 0.

Range

A facility at level F has base range F² − 1. With research level R at least 1, add:

round-half-up(F × (1 + (R − 1)/100))

Round after multiplying by the facility level. For facility 2 and research 26, the addition is round(2 × 1.25) = 3 systems, for 6 total. Research 0 adds nothing. Research alone does not create a phalanx or allow cross-galaxy scans.

Cost and planning

Level 1 costs 8 base RP; later levels grow exponentially before other-domain tier surcharges. Invest with RP directly or automatically; check the actual rounded range improvement before purchasing.
