Deuterium Efficiency

Deuterium Efficiency reduces the fuel consumed by Deuterium Power Plants, independently of grid output. Level 1 saves 5%; every fifth completed level adds another initial discount before per-level compounding, subject to caps. It does not reduce Energy Cell Factory fuel use.

Cost and access

Research is available from level 0 with no lab or technology prerequisite. Level 1 costs 19 base RP; later levels double their base RP cost before completed other-domain tier surcharges. Pay RP directly or automatically invest. The older material-research prerequisites and payments no longer apply in G1–G4.

When to research

Invest when Deuterium is limiting your power plant, and use the plant's Resource Settings slider to reserve fuel for fleets or Fuel Cells. Efficiency cannot generate power if no fuel is available.
