Interplanetary Missiles
Interplanetary Missiles destroy fixed defenses without the ordinary post-battle rebuild chance.
Base statistics
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Structural integrity | 20,000 |
| Shield | 1 |
| Attack | 25,000 |
These are base values before research. Structural integrity is not battle hull: combat uses one tenth of integrity. Defenses remain at the station where they are built.
Construction
| Resource | Base cost per unit |
|---|---|
| Metal | 10,000 |
| Crystal | 5,000 |
| Deuterium | 25,000 |
Requirements: Shipyard 1, Missile Silo 4.
Material Physics reduces the resource price. Use the construction screen for the modified quote and timer.
Use and limitations
Launch from the Launch Pad with enough ammunition and fuel. Astrophysics gives 4 systems of range at level 1; later levels add 0.04 before rounding, so level 10 still reaches 4 and level 14 reaches 5. IPMs cannot cross coordinate galaxies. Each missile uses ceil(100 × system distance ÷ range) deuterium; same-system launches use none. Flight time is 30 + 60 × system distance seconds. ABMs intercept first. Weapon Technology supplies +15% damage at level 1 and Missile Technology +5%; at level 2 those bonuses are +16.15% and +6.05%, multiplying independently.
Missile attacks use their own interception and damage rules, separate from fleet combat and rapidfire.
