v1.5 - Installable Mobile Web App

Historical release record: This page describes its original version, including systems that later changed or were retired. For live 3.0 rules, start with the current release guide.

This update makes MWarfare installable on phones as a web app while keeping live gameplay tied to the server.

Highlights

  • Install MWarfare from your phone browser without using an app store.
  • Launch the game from your home screen in a cleaner standalone window.
  • Home and wiki pages stay available as cached references when your connection drops.
  • The app now warns you when your connection is too weak for safe live play.

Mobile App Experience

  • Added Android install prompts where supported.
  • Added iPhone and iPad Add to Home Screen guidance.
  • Added home screen icons and install metadata for supported browsers.

Connection Safety

  • Gameplay, login, and admin pages still require a live connection.
  • Offline fallback messaging now makes that limitation explicit.
  • Home and wiki pages can continue to load from cache after you have visited them.
