Deuterium Tank
This building increases finite deuterium capacity at the selected station. It has no construction prerequisite and does not itself produce resources or protect loot.
Capacity
Before research, a station has a 25,000 baseline plus the storage-building contribution:
Capacity = 25,000 + 10,000 × floor(2.5 × exp(20 × level / 33))
| Storage level | Capacity before research |
|---|---|
| 0 | 45,000 |
| 1 | 65,000 |
| 2 | 105,000 |
| 3 | 175,000 |
| 4 | 305,000 |
| 5 | 535,000 |
| 10 | 10,735,000 |
Industry Technology increases the baseline and building contribution with its tiered, compounding bonus, starting at 1% at level 1. Resource Dens then adds its storage multiplier, followed by the matching Commerce storage upgrade.
Construction cost
Base material cost for target level L is the level-1 amount × 2^(L − 1), rounded to the nearest whole resource before applicable discounts.
| Resource | Level 1 | Level 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Metal | 1,000 | 16,000 |
| Crystal | 1,000 | 16,000 |
| Deuterium | 0 | 0 |
Material Physics reduces material costs. Buildings and facilities also require the Credits shown in the construction quote. Use that quote for your actual price.
Planning
Upgrade before a long absence or a large purchase if production would fill the store. Ordinary mine income stops adding a resource at its cap. A larger warehouse does not make a stockpile safe from raids; use fleetsaving and avoid leaving unnecessary loot.
Cargo capacity helps move supplies, but idle cargo ships do not automatically hide the station’s resources. Keep fuel for fleet launches and operating facilities, including the Quantum Datacenter; RP research does not consume Deuterium.
